The brain-mind conundrum has long been the subject of debate and speculation among physicians, scientists, and philosophers.

The Graces are a series of artistic reflections and ruminations rather than clinical analysis that delve into the intersection of neuropathology and psychopathology, emphasizing the blurred lines in the aetiology, treatment, and lived experiences of individuals with somatic, psychiatric, and neurological conditions.

Cognitive functions are intrinsically linked to neurological functions, making serious psychiatric disorders an extension of neurological dysfunction. Due to the limitations of primitive technologies, there is a pattern of heuristically labelling unquantifiable disorders as mental illnesses when clinicians are not able to detect a physical cause for symptoms. Even with modern advancements like functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and electroencephalograms (EEGs), we still struggle to precisely identify the differences between brain and mind functions and the underlying causes of these disorders.

The brain and the mind, it seems, remain uncharted territory. Much like the exploration of land, space, and sea, there is still much to be discovered and understood.
